In our century, drowning in the proliferation of images, the “medium” is confirmed as a “message”, implying the flattening of relations. In contrapposition to this progressive loss of communication and relational skills, man has morbidly devoted himself to technological progress, developing AI as a substitution and extremization of human functions. 
The artwork Hurtful AI, illustrates the extreme consequences of this process of functional and emotional transfer, assigning to AI the task of insulting or hurting their interlocutor. 
The object of this “conversation” between the viewer and the AI are short videos that respond to the viewer’s approach, stimulating a gradual state of discouragement; the ultimate goal is to study the audience’s behavior in the situation of involvement with a sentient machine.
